The Equity in Governance project invites members of agencies, boards, and commissions to attend the "Building Effective Boards: The Gender & Diversity Factor" workshop on Thursday, Dec 7th from 9:00am-3:00pm at St. Peter’s Cathedral Hall (Corner of Fitzroy and Rochford Street).

Research shows that boards with greater gender and diversity are more effective and drive innovation because diverse members have a variety of ways of approaching challenges and finding solutions. Members of agencies, boards, and commissions play a vital role in shaping policies and practices that facilitate organizational success. In this workshop, members of agencies, boards, and commissions will hear from leaders on the topic of board diversity, best practices, and real-world solutions for developing inclusive policies and practices that engage directors of diverse genders, backgrounds, and experiences.

Please note that this workshop is open to people of all genders. All materials, breaks, and lunch are covered and subsidies are also available for travel and caregiving expenses.
To register for this free workshop, please contact Dawn Wilson by email at peiwomeningovernment@gmail.com or phone at (902) 218-2184 by December 1st, 2017.
