The PEI Coalition for Women in Government is pleased to announce our first-ever Girls and Gender-Diverse Youth Parliament taking place in March 2024.
Are you the friend who is always ranting about social justice issues? Do you want to make a change but don’t know how? The PEI Coalition for Women in Government is hosting our first-ever girls and gender-diverse Youth Parliament.
Participants will:
- Discuss and debate local issues you and others care about
- Develop your confidence and communication skills to express yourself
- Learn the inner workings of our political system to build your advocacy toolkit
- Employ what you learn to enact change
This event takes place over 3 days and 2 nights in Charlottetown March 7th-9th 2024. All hotel, food, and supplies costs are covered by us. Mileage expenses for car travel to Charlottetown can be reimbursed. We are accepting 30 youth applicants from ages 15-20. Together, you will meet to hold discussions, debates, and participate in PEI's legislative process. Learn how the system works and then shake it up!
